The automation of sectional door operators in companies comes in many forms. As does the Marantec product range. Specialized sectional door operators including control systems are available for all applications and requirements – from simple dead man’s automation to comprehensive comfort versions. Naturally, we also offer you the option of retrofitting a sectional door drive. Our door operators from the STA 1 and MDF series are also flexible, and can be expanded at any time to accommodate additional functions and applications.
In spring-balanced sectional doors, the operators in the system operate with torsion springs. These balance the forces of the door. The motor thus needs to hold and move less weight. Our operators from the STA 1, STAC 1, STA 1 FC/I, STAI 1 and VTA series are optimally designed for use with spring-balanced sectional doors.
In large door systems and doors with many opening cycles, i.e. a high frequency of use, the advantages of springless sectional doors are particularly noticeable.
Rope drums mounted based on the door weight, along with the powerful motors, guarantee safe and low-maintenance door operation. Dispensing with the torsion springs makes installation easier and also saves having to retension and change the torsion springs. Perfect for your springless sectional doors: our sectional door operators from the MDF series.
Our STA 1 operator is the optimal solution for spring-balanced sectional doors. They are outfitted with a gear unit developed specifically for this purpose, along with a special motor that provides a great deal of power in a very small space. The motor and gearbox of the STA 1 allow for an extremely compact design, and the housing is exceedingly slim. The operators from the STA-I series are available with a standard hollow shaft (ø = 25.4 mm) or, on request, with a special hollow shaft, for example with a diameter of 30.0 mm, 31.75 mm, 35.0 mm, to accommodate different shaft adapters.
Compact and powerful: Sounds familiar to you? That's right! The new STAC 1 series is based on the tried and tested STA 1 operator. The compact design with a width of just 100 mm and the robust aluminum die-cast housing are in its DNA. In addition, the control unit is integrated into the sectional door operator, which makes the STAC 1 series a space-saving and cost-effective solution. It can be operated intuitively via a slim push button. The force is transmitted via the proven 25.4 mm standard hollow shaft.
Our operator with frequency converter for 230 V single-phase power. No three-phase current at the installation site? No problem. This operator from the STA 1 series generates it. The frequency converter generates the required three-phase power supply. In addition, variants are available with a standard hollow shaft or hollow gear shaft with multi-toothing to accommodate different shaft adapters. The operator with multi-toothing is outfitted with a standard maintenance release with emergency hand chain. Various release types are optionally available for the drives with standard hollow shaft. Depending on the type of cable drum installed, the door speed as well as the soft start ramps can be optimally adapted to the sectional door fitting.
Compact operator with rail guide: Our alternative to shaft mounting. The STAI 1 operator is a rail-guided operator and therefore particularly suitable for use where space on the sides of the door or gate is limited. The rail guide is an alternative to classic shaft mounting. The technical specs of the operator are identical to those of the STA 1.
The VTA series combines all the advantages of a DC motor and guarantees low-wear operation thanks to soft start and soft stop. It can be used worldwide with all single-phase power supplies. Furthermore, these drives can be installed even in tight spaces.
In the latest versions as the VTA 11, with two power supply units, the operator is even more powerful and faster. The VTA series offers DC commercial door operators for sectional doors, ideal for use in small and medium-sized industrial halls, workshops and craftsmen’s establishments.
Designed and built for springless sectional doors: the MDF series. For this application, the motors must hold and move heavy weights. The MDF series offers the right operator for every application: Torques from 140-1,650 Nm output torque. Their compact design offers the best mounting options. We use worm wheels made of high-quality bronze for durability and strength. The rolled worm shaft guarantees quiet running. Precise motor mounting and a CNC-machined aluminum housing ensure the highest precision.
